I know this is supposed to be an ethnic food blog, but I think I’d be doing you guys a disservice by not telling you how to make your own ranch dressing/dip/whatever you want to call it:
Here it is, quickly. Stir all of this stuff together:
3/4 c sour cream
1/4 c mayonnaise
1 tbs chopped cilantro
1 tbs chopped green onion
1 tbs chopped dill
1 tbs chopped parsley
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 clove shallot, minced
salt, pepper, onion powder
a squeeze of lemon juice
If you don’t have all the herbs, please, don’t kill yourself. Just omit it. If you want it to be more watery so it can pour luxuriously over your salad, replace some of the sour cream with buttermilk, et voila.
